how do I see recently viewed web pages on my computer?
Q. I am trying to view the last few pages my son has been on, does anyone know how I can access them after he closed out the web browser?
Asked by cjh174 - Mon Aug 20 21:45:49 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. At the top of your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, MSN Explorer, etc.) there is a History tab, click that and it will show the websites recently visited. Make sure to be on his account if you have separate accounts on the computer.

How can I understand who has viewed my page in yahoo 360 recently?
Q. I can't find my page viewer in yahoo 360, for example when I go to my page I find out that my total page view has been increased, but i can't understand who was looking at my page, it's interesting to know that because it's possible that somone comes to your page but he or she doesen't left any comments or messages, I heard that there is a way to understand who has been in your page recently :) can you help me?
Asked by ali a - Thu Mar 5 14:45:57 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Sorry, unless someone leaves a comment or a message stating they've been by your 360, then you can't find out the identity of the visitor. There is no feature in 360 that tracks visitors in that way. Embedded blog tracking widgets and codes, which probably no longer work in 360 anyway due to a recent glitch, will not provide names either. The 360 page views feature only counts hits. It's also unreliable because it comes and goes, can stop, can reset, and etc. See for more information.

Question about Facebook?? Are the people on your homepage really people who have recently viewed your profile?
Q. Does anyone out there know if it is true if the people who appear on your facebook homepage are people who have recently viewed your facebok page? Sometimes I have the most random people, really am just curious and need some help. I have heard this as rumor, but have no clue if it is actually true???
Asked by Jon F - Mon Dec 1 00:37:20 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. no the people on your homepage are just random things from your newsfeed. there is no way of tracking who views your profile. there are rumors that there is a new application called Trakzor that tracks that, but that is not true, even though there are a lot of groups on fb about it.

After I click on History, I cant view the pages. Is there some reason why this is happening?
Q. I want to see the pages that have been recently viewed on my computer but when I clicked on the history, it brought up some pages. When I clicked on them, they wouldn't come up! I am using dial up. When I click on the page it comes up blank or it gives me a pop up that wants me to open it or save it but then it is still blank.

Where are all my recently viewed websites?
Q. In the address toolbar, I used to be able to click the little arrow and see all the websites I visited in the last 25 days instead of re-typing all the websites I want to visit, but now it is empty and I need to type out each and every website I want to visit everytime I open a new window. I haven't changed my Internet Options/Settings or anything like that. I just checked my Internet Options right now and it is set to "Days to keep pages in History: 25" Any ideas why this is happening and how I can correct it? Thank you. I am the only one who uses this computer

A. Have you allowed a kid to use your computer recently? Kids, even young ones, are absolute fanatics about clearing there internet history after every internet session. They don't want the grown-ups to see where they have been surfing!

A. what do u mean by pages? Is it a scanned document? Have you tried opening the file with Any image viewing software? Try to open it using textpad or notepad first. If you can't view, then use microsoft word, if not, use adobe acrobat reader and even then if you can't use any image viewer(Even ms paint). Just post the extension of the file here. We'll see what type of file it is.

A. With picture open, under file-save as (give it a name) -save as; it will give you options, highlight the name of your SanDisk and save to. Or save to desktop then simply drag the item over to your SanDisk icon and let it go when it highlights! You can go to the history list on the top of your page, it will give you the option to delete history Unfortunately it will delete all the history. As far as I know there is no way to delete only a specific item. When you have saved the pic to your desktop you will see an icon with the name you gave it below. Find the icon for your Sandisc. If you double click on it, it will open a box. Click and hold on the icon for your photo and drag it into the box-let go and it will copy onto your disc. You… [cont.]

viewing web pages?
Q. i was wondering if there is a way to view web pages that have been visited recently if the pages have been deleted out of history and i dont have a temp internet file?
Asked by Capital V - Thu Jan 3 05:59:18 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Depending how you found the internet pages in the first place and what browser you use the quickest method may be simply to redisplay them in the browser. Both Internet Explorer and Firefox (and many others) will remember search terms in drop-down boxes even after the browsing history is cleared. If you found the page from google but can't remember the search, press the 'down' button when you've selected the search box and have a quick look through your search terms to see if this helps.

Problem when saving web pages and viewing them when offline?
Q. I've saved some webpages containing flash video. When I'm offline some pages with videos will play for a while and then suddenly will play no more, while others will not play at all. I've recently upgraded to IE 7. I'm using windows XP. Could somebody please tell me how to save webpages containing flash videos that will play for me when I'm offline. Thank You. Jack: I've stored them on a disc and they won't play on that either.
Asked by Jack Hughes - Sun Aug 17 21:20:31 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Most of flash videos on Internet are written with query strings(?videoId=xxx)... The Flash player needs this string to complete some link or some script that works with a relative path. If you store the page on your computer but don't have the same path and directories the flash will not work offline. An example: "swf/videos/viedeoID.swf" If you use this path on internet explorer it'll try to get: C:/swf/videos/videoID.swf ", and as you dont have this directory and the file on your computer it won't work. But if you open it online it'll probably get: "http://site.site.com/swf /videos/videoID.swf" a path that exists, so the flash movie will be played. So you have to store the flash/movie FILE on you computer and create the same… [cont.]

Is it possible for someone to see what you're viewing on your computer? Particularly web pages?
Q. I've just grown rather suspicious recently, is there any way that someone would be able to see what you're currently viewing/access your web history/etc, without physically being at your computer?
Asked by All Your Souls Are Belong To Me - Wed Jan 14 17:10:22 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Lots of ways. Here are just a few. Infect your computer with a keystroke logger and track where you go and what you do. Turn on logging at the firewall, then review the history. Hack the computer to send out the internet history file. Break into the ISP's logs. Install NetNanny or one of the other parental control packages. The list goes on and on. Few of those work in real-time but it's not impossible. If you have concerns or even suspicions, run a full anti-virus and anti-spyware scan on your computer. You should do that regularly anyway.

How do I see a Website page exactly as I had viewed it before?
Q. I recently had someone put nasty comments on my blog. I ignored it, but when I went back to print it so I would have it, they had deleted their comments. When I go into the history, it just shows me the page as it looks now. Is there anyway for me to use the history of my computer to pull the screen that I was looking at when the comments were still there, so I can print them now? Thanks!

A. 1. Set your browser to offline browsing (or disconnect your computer's Internet connection). 2. Open your browser's history, and go to the day when you saw the comment. (For example, it might be "Two Days Ago" or "Three Days Ago".) Then open the link to your blog within that previous day. This still may not work, but is your best shot . . .

A. Do a search of the entire drive for files with *.pdf names. If it is there, it will be found. It may have a different tname than what you are expecting, so you will have to open each file to check it. It is time consuming, but I have found many files that way.
